Post a respectful discussion board reply

6-8, 9-12OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For students whose online class posts are one word (agree), off topic, or harsh in a way they would not be in person. Present levels in written expression or speech-to-text decide fit.

Baseline
Review the student's last five replies on the class board. Count a reply only when all three parts are present. Note whether disrespect is the issue or just very short replies.
Tips
Online tone is a digital citizenship skill and a job skill. Reply starters work well for students who freeze at a blank box. Students can draft by voice.
Limits
Respectful wording takes judgment; agree on examples. The goal does not score the quality of the student's idea.
