Check progress toward a daily goal at midday and state whether on track

When to use this goal

For students with a daily goal (points, assignments, behavior) who do not notice until the end of the day that the goal is out of reach.

Baseline
For a week, ask the student at midday whether they are on track and compare with the card or data. Record whether the judgment was accurate and whether any action was named. Accurate judgments with no action are common.
Tips
Each school day is one opportunity. Met means the student checks the card without being asked, states on track or not accurately, and names a specific afternoon action. Keep the check under 2 minutes. The device reminder is a support; fade it to the schedule.
Limits
Requires a daily goal with midday data available. The afternoon action is not measured here; see the goal the card tracks.
