Show thumbs up or down after cleanup

PK, K-2OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For preschoolers who are learning a cleanup routine and can show a thumbs up, thumbs down, or point to a happy or unhappy picture. Present levels decide whether the child rates with a gesture, a picture, or words.

Baseline
For one week, ask the rating question after each cleanup and record whether the child's rating matched what the adult saw. Also record whether the child finished the area after a not-done rating. Confirm the child uses thumbs or pictures in other contexts.
Tips
Met means the rating matches the adult's view and, if the rating is not done, the child finishes the area. Praise honest not-done ratings as much as done ratings. Any response mode the child uses (sign, picture, word, device) counts.
Limits
Very young children may copy the adult's facial expression; keep a neutral face while asking. Does not measure how long cleanup takes.

Goal

By the annual IEP review date, at the end of cleanup time, when an adult asks did you put it all away and shows the picture of a clean center, the student will rate the cleanup with a thumbs up or down, or by touching a picture, to match the adult's view, and finish any part still undone independently in at least 4 of 5 opportunities, across 3 consecutive weeks of data, as measured by opportunity-by-opportunity data collected daily during cleanup, summarized weekly.
