Arrive at a scheduled service session using a reminder

3-5, 6-8, 9-12OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For students whose present levels show related-service sessions, counselor meetings, or check-ins missed because no one came to get them. For students who move between rooms alone.

Baseline
For two weeks, record whether the student arrived on time, late, or had to be collected for each scheduled session. Ask the student what they rely on now (the teacher, a peer, nothing).
Tips
Each scheduled session is one opportunity. Met means arrival within 3 minutes without an adult coming to the classroom. Classroom teachers should not remind unless that support level is chosen. The service provider records arrival time.
Limits
Teachers sometimes hold students for a lesson; exclude those sessions. Sessions that move or get canceled create confusion that is not the student's fault.

Goal

By the annual IEP review date, when a speech, counseling, or support session is scheduled during the school day, the student will independently arrive at the session room within 3 minutes of the scheduled time without being fetched in at least 4 of 5 opportunities, across 3 consecutive weeks, as measured by opportunity-by-opportunity data collected each session and summarized weekly.

Baseline: 1 of 5 opportunities.

  • Met: Aligned with area of need. Still about Time Management.

  • Met: Level of support. Defined.
