Check who is at the door before opening

When to use this goal

For older students who may be home alone for short times or live with more independence, and who open the door for anyone. Present levels in following a short rule and in using a peephole, window, or doorbell camera decide fit. The family sets the house rule.

Baseline
Run 6 role-plays with different visitors (a family friend on the list, a delivery person, a stranger asking to use the phone). Count correct when the student followed the family's rule. The target is every visitor.
Tips
The family decides who is on the list and whether deliveries are left outside. Teach what to say through the door. Doorbell cameras are a good tool if the family has one.
Limits
Role-plays may not match a real visitor's pressure. Does not cover emergencies such as a fire.
