Use a coupon on a shopping trip
When to use this goal
For older students who shop and want to save money but do not check whether a coupon applies. Present levels in reading product names, sizes, and expiration dates decide fit. Digital store coupons are included.
- Baseline
- Across 2 trips, record whether each of 6 coupons was correctly matched or correctly set aside when it did not apply.
- Tips
- Deciding not to use a coupon that does not apply counts as correct. Digital coupons need a store account; set it up with the family.
- Limits
- Requires community trips. Coupon rules vary by store.

- Record up to 6 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
