Check off weekly chores by their due day

9-12FrequencyTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For students 18 to 21 who share an apartment or home and have a weekly chore list but finish chores late or only when reminded. Fits once each chore on the list is in the student's skill set. Present levels and observation of the chore in a real setting, not grade or age, decide whether this template fits.

Baseline
Review two weeks of the chart and count the chores finished by their due day without a reminder. Note which chores slip, since a hard chore may need its own skill goal.
Tips
Let the student help choose and swap chores with housemates. Score only chores done by their day without a reminder. A phone chore app carries into adult life.
Limits
Counts chores done, not how well. A chart with shifting chores each week makes counts hard to compare; keep the total steady.

Goal

By the annual IEP review date, during the week, using a shared chore chart in the transition program apartment, the student will finish each assigned chore by its listed day and check it off on the chart independently at least 4 times per week, out of the chores on the weekly chart, in 3 of 4 consecutive weeks, as measured by frequency recording collected weekly chart review.

Baseline: 1 times per week, out of the chores on the weekly chart.

  • Met: Observable behavior. Stated as an action.

  • Met: Condition. Stated.

  • Met: Unit fits the behavior. Frequency fits this behavior.

  • Met: Explicit criterion. Number and unit stated.

  • Met: Mastery rule and schedule. Both stated.

  • Met: Method produces the metric. Frequency (event) recording gives frequency data.
