Leap over a low object using rubric parts
When to use this goal
For students who jump with two feet or step over when a game or dance calls for a leap (one foot to the other with a long flight). Fit depends on scoring the leap, not grade.
- Baseline
- Score two trials over a flat, soft object only. Note the takeoff foot and whether the student slows to a step before the object.
- Tips
- Use only soft, low objects. A rope on the floor removes fear. This builds toward hurdles and dance leaps.
- Limits
- Not for students with lower-body orthopedic restrictions without PT input.
