Pass the ball to an open teammate

3-5, 6-8OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For students who hold the ball, throw it anywhere, or pass only to the closest player during team games, so they are left out of play. The skill combines a controlled throw or kick with choosing a target. Fit depends on game observation, not grade.

Baseline
Watch 8 possessions in a game and record pass type, target, and whether the teammate could catch or trap it. Start in a drill with one defender if game play is too busy.
Tips
Small-sided games give many touches. Bright pinnies help students tell teammates from opponents. Pair with mt-gm-012 or mt-gm-013 for the throw or kick itself.
Limits
Game decisions mix motor and social skills; note both.
