Respond to a rumor about them without spreading it
When to use this goal
For students who confront peers publicly, post about it, or start their own rumors in return. Present levels, not grade, decide fit.
- Baseline
- Ask the student about recent rumors and what they did. Run three role-plays and record their choices. Check incident records for rumor-related conflicts.
- Tips
- All three choices count when they fit the situation; letting it go is a valid choice. Anything that is harassment gets reported.
- Limits
- Real events are mostly self-reported, and students may not tell adults about rumors; build trust before relying on reports.

- Record up to 4 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
