Match own interests to a career cluster
When to use this goal
For students who know some career clusters and have interest information (an inventory, a hobby list) but have not connected the two. Present levels in written expression decide whether the response is written, typed or spoken.
- Baseline
- Score one matching sheet with only the guide. Note when the connection is a stretch (likes video games, so wants to be a pro gamer); keep it, and add a second cluster that also fits.
- Tips
- Repeat for different clusters across the year so the student explores more than one area. Pair with tn-ce-002 for students who still mix up clusters.
- Limits
- A match on paper is a hypothesis; job shadows and tryouts test it. The rubric does not judge whether the cluster is realistic for the student.
