Deliver accommodation letters to each instructor
When to use this goal
For students in dual enrollment or college courses who have an accommodation letter but do not share it, so the accommodations are never used. Present levels in email and comfort talking with instructors decide whether letters are shared in person or by email.
- Baseline
- Each course is one opportunity. In the first term, record whether the letter reached each instructor within two weeks and whether a plan for tests was agreed.
- Tips
- Many colleges send letters through a portal, but the student still starts the conversation. A short meeting during office hours works well (tn-pse-014). Students may choose not to use an accommodation in a course; that is their decision.
- Limits
- Opportunities are few, about one per course per term. Measures sharing, not whether the instructor provides the accommodation.

Goal
By the annual IEP review date, at the start of each dual enrollment or college course, with own accommodation letter, the student will send or hand the accommodation letter to the instructor and agree on how each accommodation will work in the course independently in at least 3 of 4 opportunities, across 2 consecutive terms, as measured by opportunity-by-opportunity data collected in the first two weeks of each term.

- Record up to 4 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
