Build a work preference profile after job tryouts
When to use this goal
For students who have completed several job tryouts or situational assessments and need to turn those experiences into clear preferences about work settings. Present levels in reflection and communication decide the response mode.
- Baseline
- Score the first profile right after the first set of tryouts. Compare the student's ratings with job coach notes; large gaps are a topic for discussion, not an error.
- Tips
- The profile becomes part of the transition assessment record and guides job matching. Job coaches add observation data; the profile itself stays in the student's words.
- Limits
- Preferences depend on which tryouts were available. A profile is self-report and is strongest when paired with observed performance at each site.
