Walk or jog a planned route for exercise

9-12, 6-8DurationTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For high school and transition students who want an exercise habit they can keep after school and have chosen walking or jogging. Present levels decide fit. Route safety and any activity limits are set with the family and health provider.

Baseline
Time 3 or more walks: minutes moving on the route, including planned rests, until the student stops or asks to stop. Check footwear and heat plans.
Tips
Planned rests count; leaving the route does not. Let the student pick music or a partner. A step counter or phone app can log minutes.
Limits
Weather and route change the data. Fitness gains are measured in physical fitness goals.
