Follow a picture schedule in a new classroom

PKOpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For three-year-olds moving from early intervention at home or in a small playgroup into a preschool classroom, where the day has many more parts. Present levels from the early intervention team's transition report and first-weeks observation decide fit, not age.

Baseline
Score 8 schedule changes on 3 days in the first weeks. Count correct when the student went to the matching area with no more than the planned support. Ask the family which photos or objects the early intervention team used at home.
Tips
Use the same photos or objects the early intervention provider used, if any, so the student starts with something familiar. Real photos of this classroom's areas work better than clip art. Fade the adult's walk before fading the point.
Limits
The first weeks of preschool are a time of adjustment for all children; give a few weeks before deciding the goal is needed. Does not measure what the student does once in the area.
