Take a turn at a helper job

PKOpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For preschoolers who watch peers do helper jobs (pass out napkins, feed the fish, hold the door) but walk away when their turn comes. Present levels in following one-step directions and in carrying items decide fit.

Baseline
Record 5 job turns (real and practice). Count correct when the student finished the job with no more than the planned support. Pick jobs with a clear end.
Tips
Give the student more turns than the chart would by adding small jobs. Jobs build a sense of belonging and lead to classroom jobs in kindergarten (fn-rt-011).
Limits
Few turns in a big class; add jobs to get data. Does not measure social skills with peers.

Goal

By the annual IEP review date, when the helper chart shows the student's photo next to a job, the student will do the helper job from start to finish when it is the student's turn independently in at least 4 of 5 opportunities, across 2 consecutive weeks, as measured by direct observation collected at each turn, plus planned practice.

Baseline: 1 of 5 opportunities.
