Match greetings to the relationship
When to use this goal
For students who greet everyone with the same hug or personal question. Present levels decide fit. The student chooses from greetings that fit each circle (a hug with family, a wave or hello with classmates, a nod or hello with helpers).
- Baseline
- Record 10 greetings with the person's circle and the greeting used. Agree with the family on which greetings fit family and family friends.
- Tips
- The student chooses among fitting greetings. Cultural greeting customs vary; set the options with the family. Spoken words, signs, and device greetings all count.
- Limits
- Greeting opportunities vary by day. The goal does not cover conversation after the greeting.
