Tell a partner all done
When to use this goal
For children who leave, push materials away, or cry when they want an activity to end, and do not yet signal "finished". Present levels decide fit. "All done" gives the student a clear way to end something.
- Baseline
- Watch for the student's signs of being finished across snack and play for a few days and count each as one opportunity. Record what the student did: left, pushed, cried, or signaled. Families can tell you how the student ends things at home.
- Tips
- End the activity right away when the student signals all done, at least while the skill is new. Model "all done" whenever an activity ends naturally. A finished bin gives a clear action to go with the word.
- Limits
- Opportunities depend on noticing the student's signs; agree on what counts as a sign of being finished. The goal does not cover asking for a break during work; that belongs in requesting-help or replacement-behavior.

Goal
By the annual IEP review date, during snack, when the student stops eating or pushes food away, the student will signal all done by signing, saying, or approximating "all done", or by touching an all-done picture or device button independently in at least 6 of 8 opportunities, on 4 of 5 observed days, as measured by direct observation collected daily during snack and play.

- Record up to 8 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
