Check for schedule changes every week

When to use this goal

For working students who can read a schedule but miss shifts because they do not check it when it is posted or updated. Present levels in reading schedules and using a phone calendar, not grade, decide fit.

Baseline
For a month, record each new schedule or change and whether the student checked and updated their calendar the same day. Compare with any missed or late shifts.
Tips
Count one opportunity per posted schedule or change notice. Reading the schedule itself is taught in functional academics; this goal is about the weekly habit. Fade the reminder once the habit is steady.
Limits
Depends on the workplace posting schedules on a regular day. Does not measure whether the student arrives for the shift; that is a vocational skills goal.

Goal

By the annual IEP review date, on the day each new work schedule is posted, on paper or in the scheduling app, the student will open the new schedule, find their shifts and add or change them in their phone calendar the same day independently in 4 of 4 opportunities, across 3 consecutive monthly reviews, as measured by frequency recording collected weekly.
