All 15 skills

Every skill with goals for this group, by area. The number is how many of its goals are tagged here.

Calendar skills goals come from measurement and time, functional academics, time management, planning, receptive language, and early reading and spelling. They cover naming the day and date, reading and writing days and months, answering questions with yesterday, today, and tomorrow, finding a date, counting days to an event, writing the date on papers, and adding appointments to a paper or phone calendar. Good goals name the calendar format, the questions asked, and the support, such as a highlighted today box. Most are measured with percent accuracy on a set of calendar questions, and using a calendar in daily life is counted as opportunities. Use the student's real calendar, with their own events and appointments, so the skill carries over.

Name the calendar and the questions. For example: given a monthly calendar, the student will find the date of a named day and count the days to an event with at least 80% accuracy across 3 sessions.

Are calendar goals only for young students?

No. Older students work on phone calendars, appointment reminders, paydays, and due dates. Match the format to what the student will use as an adult.
