Punch out and back in for breaks

9-12OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For students who clock in and out at the start and end of a shift but forget the meal break punches, so their time records are wrong. Present levels in telling time and following a routine decide whether a badge, app or paper sheet is used.

Baseline
Check the time records for the last 5 shifts with a meal break. Count a shift when both break punches are there and within a few minutes of the actual break.
Tips
Builds on fn-voc-002. Ask the employer how breaks are recorded; some sites do it automatically. Pair with fn-voc-064 so the student sees how missing punches change a paycheck.
Limits
Sites differ in break rules. Does not measure returning on time (fn-voc-013).

Original IEP Atlas template based on general measurement principles; not copied from any goal bank. ID fn-voc-076.

Goal

By the annual IEP review date, during a shift with an unpaid meal break, using the site's badge or app time clock, the student will punch out at the start of the meal break and punch back in before returning to work independently in at least 4 of 5 opportunities, across 3 consecutive weeks, as measured by direct observation collected at each shift with a meal break.
